B25.05 Online Intercultural Project Management and Marketing Communication (IntStudI) (Mon)
SuSe2026

First Half of the Semester - Online,  from 2nd of March - 11 May, Mondays 17:45 - 19:15 (Dutch time) Zoom link: https://zoom.us/my/borgmann
The meetings of the intensive face-to-face seminar in Izmir are from 02 to 10 May
This course is designed to create a "virtual learning community" of students and lecturers from Breda, Izmir, Porto, Tiblisi and Remagen and provide participants with business skills and practical experience in the fields of intercultural project management and marketing communication in the area of agriculture. The course will consist of two parts: an online preparatory course for all and a face-to-face intensive seminar in Izmir for students who were selected for a place on the Izmir Experience and an accompanying Erasmus scholarship. Please do not be disappointed if you were not selected, a study abroad experience with a generous scholarship should  never given out as a present to everybody.
The online meetings will introduce students to the key concepts and skills for intercultural project management and marketing communication. and empower them to work on the client's brief.
The intensive face-to-face seminar will provide students with hands-on experience in intercultural project management and marketing communication in cooperation with a real company, in this case Yanmar, Izmir. During the seminar, students will collaborate with peers from different countries/universities and from different academic disciplines to develop a campaign idea for an industry client, focusing on intercultural marketing communication and sustainability. At the end of the seminar, students will pitch their campaign ideas to Yanmar, a real industry client and receive extensive feedback. Please do not confuse this with a simulation or a case study. This is real business and accordingly we expect a lot of initiative and input from you in order to satisfy our real client. This process will enable students and lecturers to gain practical experience in working with intercultural teams, managing a project across cultures, and applying marketing communication principles in an intercultural context. This is real work - and a lot of it, but it is very rewarding for students who want to get a taste of real life business.
